Prizes for Competitions
We have established one winning couple per division in each category. Please note the minimum requirement below.
Salon Tango:
Amateur –
The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Amateur Salon Tango, (2) Round-trip airfare from a US City within the US, not including Alaska, Hawaii Islands or Puerto Rico to Buenos Aires and 5-nights of hotel accommodations at the Mariposita Boutique Hotel in Santelmo.
Professional – The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Professional Salon Tango, (2) Cash prize of $750.00, (3) Participation at the Argentine Tango USA Festival & USA Championship in San Francisco, 2012 (Registration fee waived)
Pro/Am – The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Pro/Am Salon Tango, (2) Cash prize of $500.00, (3) Two Full Event Passes to Tango Mundo Festival 2012.
Over 55 Amateur – The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Over 55 Amateur Salon Tango, (2) Two Full Event Passes to Tango Mundo Festival 2012.
Stage Tango:
Pro/Am – The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Pro/Am Salon Tango, (2) Cash prize of $500.00, (3) Two Full Event Passes to Tango Mundo Festival 2012.
Amateur – The winning couple to receive: (1) The Title and trophie of the Tango Mundo Championships 2011, Professional Salon Tango, (2) Cash prize of $500.00, (3) Participation at the Argentine Tango USA Festival & USA Championship in San Francisco, 2012 (Registration fee waived)
We have established a minimum requirement of registered couples to validate the competition in each category and division:
Salon Tango – Professional: A minimum of 10 registered couples
Salon Tango – Amateur: A minimum of 20 registered couples
Salon Tango – Pro/Am: A minimum of 10 registered couples
Salon Tango – Over 55 Amateur: A minimum of 6 registered couples
Stage Tango – Pro/Am: A minimum of 10 registered couples
Stage Tango – Amateur: A minimum of 10 registered couples
All fees are non-refundable unless minimum number of qualifying competitors are not met.
